Additional 300 MW at Pavagada Solar Park

This year, we completed the construction of an additional 300 MW at the Pavagada Solar Park, located in Tumkur District, Karnataka, India. This project marks a significant milestone in the development of green energy and the country's efforts to increase its share of renewable sources.

Pavagada Solar Park spans 20 square miles (13,000 acres) and has a total installed capacity of 2200 MW, making it one of the largest solar parks in the world. It was established to reduce India’s reliance on fossil fuels and cut carbon dioxide emissions.

The project was carried out in partnership with the Indian government and Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. The cost of expanding the park by 300 MW was $170 million, highlighting the country’s commitment to sustainable energy development and international environmental initiatives.

The expansion of Pavagada Solar Park by an additional 300 MW is a crucial step toward increasing the share of renewable energy in India’s energy mix. This development not only helps reduce the country’s carbon footprint but also creates new jobs, supports the local economy, and improves the quality of life for residents.

The completion of this expansion by Del Mar Energy is a significant achievement in green energy. It demonstrates the importance of international collaboration and investment support in achieving global sustainable development goals and addressing climate change.
