Construction of the Pipeline for Guru Gobind Singh Refinery in India

This year, Del Mar Energy played a pivotal role in a major project that marks a significant milestone in our history. We were tasked with installing a 466-mile pipeline for the Guru Gobind Singh Refinery (GGSR) in Bathinda, Punjab, India. This project was crucial for enhancing India's capacity to produce refined hydrocarbons.

The project was monumental in scale and importance. The refinery, which we contributed to building, has a processing capacity of 11.3 million barrels of oil per day, equivalent to approximately 8 million cubic feet. The project cost $74 million and was executed in partnership with HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) and Mittal Energy Investment Pte Ltd from Singapore.

Del Mar Energy's team was responsible for laying the pipeline, connecting oil fields to the refinery.

The installation of the 466-mile pipeline required not only technical expertise but also meticulous planning. The work was conducted in close collaboration with local experts to ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards. Each day presented new challenges, from logistical issues to overcoming technical difficulties.

The completion of the Guru Gobind Singh Refinery and the pipeline was a significant event for India. The refinery greatly increased the country's oil processing capabilities, ensuring stable fuel and petroleum product supplies for its rapidly growing economy.

The project, completed in 2012, remains a symbol of perseverance, teamwork, and professionalism.
