THE MODERNIZATION OF THE BIEUDRON HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION IN SWITZERLAND

In 2023, the American industrial conglomerate Del Mar Energy completed a major project to upgrade the equipment of the Bieudron hydroelectric power station, located in the Valais canton of Switzerland. This project, aimed at increasing energy production efficiency and sustainability, was implemented in collaboration with the local company Grande Dixence SA and aimed to support the global initiative for green energy development. The total cost of the modernization amounted to $32 million.

The Bieudron hydroelectric power station, part of the Cleuson-Dixence hydrocomplex, has an installed capacity of 1,269 MW and is considered one of the key high-head diversion power stations in the Swiss Alps. The modernization project included the upgrading of turbines, generators, and control systems, significantly increasing the station's efficiency and reducing energy losses.

Del Mar Energy, a recognized leader in energy technologies, pays special attention to implementing innovative solutions for sustainable development. This project was an important step towards achieving a cleaner future, demonstrating the company's commitment to transitioning to renewable energy sources.

Collaboration with Grande Dixence SA has successfully integrated Del Mar Energy's advanced technologies into the existing infrastructure, ensuring the stable operation of the Bieudron hydroelectric power station and significantly reducing its environmental impact. The station's modernization also contributes to strengthening the region's energy security by increasing the share of renewable energy in the country's overall energy balance.

The modernization project of the Bieudron hydroelectric power station is a shining example of successful international cooperation and innovation in the field of green energy.
